What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Owning the power sales and hedging strategy.
  • Executing trades and managing market risk analytically.
  • Leading Route-to-Market contract management and maintaining relationships with counterparties offering derivatives.
  • Managing applications and compliance for Capacity Market and CfD schemes.
  • Supporting development of Carbon Capture and Storage, private wire, PPAs, and other revenue opportunities.
  • Serving as our UK energy market expert, engaging with Ofgem, DESNZ, and other bodies.
  • Developing carbon price risk management strategies for UK ETS inclusion.

Who You Are:

  • Markets specialist with experience in power trading, market risk management, or hedging.
  • Deep knowledge of UK electricity and carbon markets and strong industry relationships.
  • Experienced in front-office roles with confidence in making impactful commercial decisions.
  • Capable of simplifying complex risks into actionable insights.
  • Credible communicator with senior stakeholders and Board audiences.
  • Proficient with tools like Refinitiv Workspace, Bloomberg; CTRM/ETRM systems are a plus.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Minimum 5 years in a front-office power market role.
  • Degree (or equivalent) in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related.
  • Strong analytical and commercial skills.
