Job Responsibilities:

  1. Monitor and analyze market risk exposures related to European Gas, Power & Emissions.
  2. Develop and implement risk management strategies to support expansion into physical markets.
  3. Collaborate with trading, finance, and operations teams for comprehensive risk assessment and management.
  4. Conduct in-depth market analysis to identify potential risks and opportunities.
  5. Prepare and present risk reports to senior management, providing insights and recommendations.
  6. Stay abreast of market trends, regulatory changes, and industry developments affecting European energy markets.
  7. Support the development and enhancement of risk management tools and systems.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative discipline.
  • Proven experience in market risk management within the energy sector.
  • Strong understanding of European Gas, Power & Emissions markets.
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to interpret complex data.
  • Knowledge of Market Risk practices such as stress testing, scenario analysis, VaR, risk sensitivities, limits.
