Job summary

Macquarie Group in London seeks a market risk professional to help measure and oversee risk across financial and commodity markets. You will analyse exposures, challenge assumptions and use quantitative tools to support independent risk oversight.

Reporting to a Market Risk Manager, you will work with traders and stakeholders, contribute to product assessments and help ensure risks are understood, monitored and managed in a dynamic market environment.

What role will you play?

As part of our global Market Risk team, you will work closely with traders and business stakeholders to understand, measure and oversee market risk across a broad range of financial and commodity markets. Through analysing risk exposures, challenging assumptions and applying quantitative tools, you will help provide independent risk oversight and support informed decision-making. You will contribute to the assessment of new products and activities, collaborate with colleagues across global risk teams, and play an important role in ensuring risks are understood, monitored and managed effectively. Reporting to a Market Risk Manager, you will engage with stakeholders across the business and gain exposure to a diverse range of asset classes, trading strategies and market environments

Our Risk Management Group works as an independent, and centralised function, responsible for independent and objective review and challenge, oversight, monitoring and reporting in relation to Macquarie’s material risks. We are a global team that aims to manage the risks of today and anticipate the risks of tomorrow.
