MARKET DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER

Arrow's Global Components is looking for a Market Development Engineer. In this position, you will determine, develop and lead the implementation of a successful program to accelerate IP&E sales and profit growth within the UK Aerospace and Defense Market. Market Development Engineer is the central point for understanding programs and technology to drive commercial success in the UK Aerospace and Defense IP&E Segment.

What will you be doing at Arrow GC?

  • You will be responsible for understanding the customer 'need behind the need' to be a trusted IP&E business partner
  • Exceed targets; ₠ RGP, NSB, DWIN, Market share growth -focus accounts and regions
  • Extract accurate and detailed competition information to win new business and maximize Arrow investment
  • Optimize product mix (white space approach) and identify new business opportunities
  • Support the regions to convert all 'non-defined' top opportunities
  • Initiate relevant business-related trainings to keep abreast of industry trends and evolution
  • Deliver regular IP&E market and commercial updates to the regions
  • Participate in customer and supplier meetings and formal business reviews
  • One Arrow team partner
  • Support the regions regarding IP&E offers for focus accounts and other relevant offers
  • Bring the Vertical IP&E megatrend strategy to regional execution
  • Utilize all available tools and services to work as effectively as possible
  • Work in collaboration with all Arrow teams to exceed customer expectations



What are we looking for?

  • You have a bachelor's degree in engineering or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Sales, Marketing or Product management
  • Expertise in engaging executive-level stakeholders
  • Track record in delivering results in market / segment management or development of comprehensive solutions offers in business-to-business industry
  • Demonstration of project / team leadership, and collaboration skills
  • Experience in business strategy -market & customer segmentation; competitive product benchmarking, financial analysis (ROI, pricing, scenario analysis)
  • Excellent analytical, verbal and written communication skills necessary to interact with all levels.
  • Demonstrate sound judgment as well as apply logical/critical thought processes.
