Job description

Join us as a Market Data Operations Control Manager at Barclays. In this role, you will partner with key stakeholders to oversee procurement service delivery, provide advice, and develop procurement strategies that meet the needs of the business and procurement department.

To be successful, candidates should have:

  • Previous procurement experience
  • Understanding of risk and controls
  • Stakeholder management skills

This position is based in Glasgow.

Purpose of the role

Partner with stakeholders to oversee procurement service delivery, advise, and develop strategies aligning with business and procurement needs.

Accountabilities
  1. Develop and implement procurement strategies in collaboration with stakeholders.
  2. Align procurement strategies with bank objectives and regulatory requirements.
  3. Provide expertise on procurement policies, third-party risk, sourcing, and supplier relations.
  4. Act as escalation point for procurement issues.
  5. Build relationships with senior stakeholders to improve procurement performance.
  6. Identify opportunities for cost savings, service improvement, and efficiency.
  7. Support business decisions with procurement insights.
  8. Contribute to strategic activities, including change programs, acquisitions, and divestments.

  2. Possess in-depth technical knowledge and experience.
  3. Lead or support teams, guiding development and managing resources.
