Nicholas Hall Group of Companies is a Marketing Consultancy and Publishing House specialising in the Consumer Healthcare industry. Much of our business is international in nature, and clients include major multinational pharmaceutical groups as well as smaller companies in individual markets around the world. We cover Europe, North America, Latin America, Asia-Pacific and more than 80 product categories.

We are looking for a Market Analyst to join our Reports team. While you can work remotely, some travel to our office in SS1 1BW, Uk will be required, especially during the onboarding process.

JOB SUMMARY

The Reports division produces off-the-shelf titles offering strategic analysis, demographic reports, marketer & brand profiles and industry guides. Led by Managing Editor Ian Crook, the team has a number of specific responsibilities as well as playing a key role within the broader Nicholas Hall organisation. In this role you will work with the team to produce reports across an extensive range of CHC categories – generating high-quality insights based on excellent communication, analytical and data synthesis skills. The work necessitates close collaboration with our regional research teams and our data division as well as original desk-based research.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • For a business audience, research and write concise reports on a wide array of topics in the global consumer healthcare market across different categories (e.g. pain relief, cough & cold remedies, skin care, supplements), plus company and brand profiles
  • Undertake market research from in-house and external resources
  • Analyse market trends, marketing strategies, regulatory developments, new product launches and sales performance in detail and summarise trends & developments
  • Chart the growth of specific categories in key markets, identifying key growth drivers
  • Research new emerging products / categories
  • Compare and analyse the performance of competing brands or marketers
  • Create charts, tables and infographics using data from our in-house database and other sources

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Education: Educated to degree level or above
  • Researching: Adept at finding information using a variety of sources.
  • Writing: Accurate and concise use of English with a good eye for detail.
  • Computer skills: Strong IT skills, especially familiarity with PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Time management: Able to work within tight timeframes and deliver on deadline.
  • Strong organisational skills: Able to manage time and projects well and prioritise tasks.
  • Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills and good numerical skills.
  • Team Working: Ability to work well in a team, but also individually.
  • Knowledge of or experience within the consumer healthcare industry would be advantageous
  • Language skills, especially related to the markets being researched, would be advantageous
