We uniquely combine our proprietary longitudinal market data, consumer insights and AI-enhanced data science, with valuable on-the-ground human intelligence in 160 markets worldwide, to decipher what is really happening in the global beverage alcohol market. With access to our data, clients from across the drinks industry, including multinational spirits, beer, and wine businesses; packaging and ingredient manufacturers; distributors; and financial institutions, plan their strategies and future investment with a reliable, consistent and complete understanding of the global landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Collection & Processing

  • Extracting, collating, and consolidating data from financial/annual reports.
  • Supporting data ingestion and mapping into IWSR's taxonomy/database.
  • Handling both structured (quantitative) and unstructured (qualitative) data.

Quality Control & Assurance

  • Supporting country-level and global QC, especially during peak cycles.
  • Verifying accuracy in charting, reporting, and deliverables.

Project Coordination & Support

  • Coordinating tasks between research teams, production, and product leads.
  • Managing timelines and input collection for deliverables and country decks.
  • Assisting with client-facing outputs: pitches, presentations, and custom analyses.

Narrative & Insight Development

  • Turning consumer and market data trends into clear, insightful narratives.
  • Identifying verbatim insights from qualitative responses.
  • Supporting storytelling across core IWSR strategic studies.

Cross-Team Support & Additional Analysis

  • Collaborating with the People Team on projects including carbon footprint analysis.
  • Contributing to database research and external market validation.

Experience:

  • 2–3 years' experience in a data-driven or analytical role, preferably within a market research, insights, or strategic analysis function.
  • Exposure to working with large datasets (quantitative and qualitative), ideally in Excel and/or data visualisation tools.
  • Familiarity with data quality control processes and methodologies.
  • Experience coordinating projects and managing cross-functional stakeholder input.

Skills:

  • Strong Excel and data manipulation skills; experience with data mapping or taxonomy alignment a plus.
  • Ability to synthesise complex datasets into clear narratives and insights.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, especially for QC and charting.

  • Flexible work environment: Hybrid working model with flexible hours.
  • Comprehensive perks: Annual bonus scheme, pension, regular social events, birthday treats, and a volunteering policy.
