Job summary

Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service is recruiting for a Crew Manager – Training Delivery BA & Maritime. The role focuses on Breathing Apparatus training and supporting maritime training delivery across the Service, with occasional work at Severn Park and other locations.

Successful candidates will receive extensive development funding, including internal and external qualifications such as BAI, CFBTI, and AET, plus a 12% training allowance and progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• ITOP or Qualified L1 ICT requirement.
• Competent whole-time Firefighter with Crew Manager promotion board success or current Crew Manager.
• No active performance improvement actions or live disciplinary sanctions.

Responsibilities

• Create an environment safe for learning by promoting values and ethics.
• Deliver across all courses within the Academy.
• Implement effective training and development activities.
• Be highly motivated, self-driven and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Work flexibly to meet Training Academy commitments.
• Perform duties aligned with the National Occupational Standard Role Map for a Crew Manager.
