Job summary

MBDA is seeking a Maritime Safety Group Lead to manage the delivery of hazard analyses, safety cases and other safety outputs across multiple Weapon System projects. You will lead and develop about 10 safety engineers to ensure on-time, on-cost and on-quality deliveries.

The role blends people management with hands-on technical safety work, with half focusing on mentoring and processes, and the other half delivering evidence-based safety arguments.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering Hazard Analyses and Safety Cases.
• Ability to integrate safety evaluation with systems engineering.
• Strong leadership for a multi-national team.
• Degree qualification preferred.
• BPSS security checks after offer stage.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Maritime Safety Group Lead team to deliver safety outputs across multiple weapon system projects.
• Develop and mentor ~10 safety engineers to ensure on-time, on-cost and on-quality deliveries.
• Collaborate with design engineers, project controllers, customers and stakeholders.
• Balance people management with technical safety output and evidence-based safety arguments.
