Job summary

Simpson Booth Limited in London is seeking an experienced Project Administration Engineer to join our marine power team. You will support the delivery of complex engineering projects by coordinating documentation, schedules and budgets across multidisciplinary teams.

This role offers the chance to work with cross-functional colleagues on diverse maritime and nuclear projects, ensure QA and regulatory compliance, and maintain project records from inception to close.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent (BEng/MEng/MSc) in Naval Architecture, Mechanical, or related field.
• Experience in project administration, coordination or control.
• UK citizenship or valid UK visa for full-time employment.
• Familiarity with 2D/3D CAD software (AutoCAD, Inventor) and SOLIDWORKS.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and project/collaboration tools.
• Strong document control and cross-disciplinary coordination.
• Clear communication in technical environments.

Responsibilities

• Support Engineering Office with day-to-day Project Control activities and liaise with Project Managers.
• Act as administrative link between technical delivery and project management.
• Coordinate project activities: scheduling meetings, minutes, docs, databases.
• Maintain project risk registers and track issues/changes/lessons learned.
• Interface with stakeholders across maritime and nuclear sectors.
• Liaise with accounts to manage procedures for budgeting, cost tracking, invoicing.
• Maintain schedules, track costs, report to clients, suppliers, internal management.
• Support expediting supplier/vendor data and equipment documentation.
• Track actions from design reviews, HAZIDs/HAZOPs and meetings.
• Manage TQs, RFIs, concessions; control revision status.
• Maintain document registers per regulatory requirements.
• Support submission of docs to Flag State, Classification Societies, Regulators.
• Ensure records align with standards and contractual requirements.
• Support audit readiness.
• Develop and maintain company procedures within remit.
• Liaise with clients/stakeholders/regulators to document requirements.
• Promote company powers and embody values.
• Ensure all work is performed to Project Quality Plan.
• Any duties assigned by senior management.
• Availability to travel to US/UK or other locations.
• Manage ongoing professional development.
