Ernest Gordon Recruitment is seeking a Design Engineer (Maritime) based in Portsmouth. The role focuses on technical design work for maritime infrastructure, with exposure to civil/structural projects and client liaison.

You will contribute to the full project lifecycle and develop practical engineering solutions while advancing toward chartership with support and training. The package includes £60,000 to £70,000 plus training, chartership support, and benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience designing for maritime, civil, structural or coastal infrastructure projects.
• Degree in Civil/Structural/Marine/Coastal Engineering.
• Commutable to Portsmouth.

Responsibilities

• Produce technical designs, engineering calculations, and supporting documentation for maritime infrastructure projects.
• Support projects through the full lifecycle from concept to completion.
• Collaborate with clients, contractors and stakeholders to deliver engineering solutions.
• Attend site visits and develop technical, commercial, and project management expertise.
