Job summary

Carnival UK (P&O Cruises & Cunard) seeks a capable Design Engineer to support in delivering engineering workstreams for next generation cruise ships. You will drive design coordination across shipyards, internal teams and suppliers, ensuring safety, regulatory compliance and brand alignment.

You will contribute to drawings, calculations and technical documentation while engaging with classification bodies and partners to keep projects on schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, naval architecture or related discipline.
• Experience in engineering design within marine, offshore or related environments.
• Experience managing engineering drawings, calculations and technical documentation.
• Understanding of international standards and technical compliance requirements.
• Experience contributing to multi-disciplinary engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate engineering activity across programmes with shipyards, suppliers and brand teams.
• Ensure designs meet project and brand requirements and are deliverable.
• Support classification and regulatory submissions and approvals.
• Produce and review engineering documentation for validation and certification.
• Identify and resolve design conflicts and technical risks.
• Contribute to design reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
