Your new job working as a Marine Technician/Broker Support will be working within one of the UK’s leading independent Lloyd’s brokers. Located in the city and throughout the UK, these brokers prioritize understanding every detail of their clients’ businesses and work in partnership to provide complete service. The company offers unbiased access to the market and places cover with an established insurer network. They are a national business operating out of regional offices across the UK, acting internationally with global specialists. They offer innovative and intelligent risk advice and insurance programmes designed to confidently protect their clients’ risks.
Due to growth within their Marine Division, a role has arisen for a Marine Technician/Broker Support to join their established Marine team. This role is based in the office 3 or 4 days a week.
Your role as a Marine Technician/Broker Support Technician involves working closely with Brokers for full Broker Back Up duties and occasionally undertaking broking duties. You will be responsible for preparing MRC slips and endorsements, producing reports, evidence of cover, and addenda. The role also involves maintaining existing client relationships. The Marine areas you will deal with include Marine Hull, Liability, P&I, and Charters Liability.
Your previous experience as a Technician or Broker Support handling Marine Hull will contribute to your success. A minimum of Cert CII qualification is preferred. You should have confident and effective telephone and PC skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office, and the ability to develop and sustain relationships with clients and colleagues. Good interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
