Marlow Ropes (USA), is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team and excel in managing the sales and marketing efforts as we continue to grow the brand in the Americas.

THE POSITION

We’re looking for aSales Manager, Americasto manage all aspects of the marine industry in the Americas (including direct sales, marketing, product development, account management, and new customer acquisition), while maintaining the high level of customer service our existing customers have come to count on. You will be managing and selling our range of high-quality Marine ropes and accessories, as well as our highly customised products designed for, and used by, the top racing teams around the world.Some of the key responsibilities will include:

- Management of all Marine Industry sales forecasting, marketing, budgeting and sales reps.

- Account Management of our existing Marine customers.

- Development of New Accounts within the assigned Sales Territory

- Traveling to customer visits in the Territory

- Working with Management to develop sales strategies and programs for the territory.

- Developing sales of our distributed brand - Cyclops Load Sensors

Domestic and International travel expectation is 25-50%. You must be willing and able to travel and stay away from home, including weekends (when/if necessary).

Must have competencies:

·previous management experience

·previous marine industry sales experience

·proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets

·“Hunter” mentality with a strong focus on opening new dealers while honouring our existing relationships

·great communication and presentation skills

·personable, enthusiastic and passionate

·able to show initiative and work independently

·well organised and detail oriented

·clean drivers licence

·willing and able to travel to key sailing spots in the territory and stay away from home when required

·eager to learn and develop

·an active sailor, windsurfer or kite surfer

·computer literate, with experience in Microsoft Office

THE PERSON

You will be “the” person in the marine industry.We are looking for an enthusiastic, well known, passionate manager, displaying empathy, credibility, honesty and tenacity. Experience in the yachting industry is preferred but not essential, however you will be an experienced sailor, able to discuss all aspects of the sport with your customers. You will also have extensive sales management experience with a proven track record, “book of business” and the know how to develop business relationships and grow sales.

THE PACKAGE

Base salary commensurate with experience, plus a bonus paid in line with sales target achievement.10 days vacation per year, 5 days PTO, 401k and Health Plan available after 3 months.Mobile phone, laptop, and business mileage reimbursement.

Located 40 minutes south of Boston, Cordage Park is the former home of Plymouth Cordage Company, once the world’s largest rope manufacturer. The well-known location is situated on the historic waterfront of Plymouth, MA, and is home to a vibrant local restaurant scene, and nearby access to MA Route 3.
