Job summary

Balaena is seeking an experienced Marine Project Planner to support a busy schedule of vessel repair, maintenance and overhaul projects.

In this role you will build schedules in MS Project, translate vessel specs into detailed, resourced plans, allocate labour/materials/equipment, and track progress while managing risks. You will produce reports and support bid planning and commercial teams, communicating updates to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Marine maintenance/repair/overhaul experience with dry docks.
• Strong MS Project skills.
• Commercial planning background.
• Engineering/shipbuilding experience.
• HNC minimum; Degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build accurate project schedules in MS Project.
• Translate vessel specs into detailed, resourced plans.
• Allocate labour, materials and equipment
• Track progress + manage risks
• Produce S‑curves, reports and planning documents
• Support bid planning and commercial teams
• Communicate updates across all project stakeholders
