An established industry player is seeking a dedicated Project Manager for its Marine business unit. GE Vernova’s Power Conversion business provides electrification systems that are critical to customers’ power and energy needs for their high-performance applications. We work with some of the world’s major energy, maritime, and industrial organizations, helping to enable a transition to energy efficiency and decarbonization, including through our specialist motors, drives, and control technologies.
As related to customer equipment, facilities, or infrastructure projects: responsible for project delivery, profit & loss accountability, and customer satisfaction through management of project-related activities and resources. Impacts departmental operations and is responsible for planning and execution. The role has some autonomy but focuses on executing activities within standard functional practices and procedures. Some judgment may be required, typically with guidance.
This is a key customer-facing Project Management role for the Marine business unit within GE Power Conversion UK Ltd.
It offers an opportunity for an experienced Project Manager, though consideration will also be given to less experienced applicants with a strong desire to develop into the role.
The candidate must have the ability to form effective working relationships with Customers, team members, and third-party suppliers to ensure project objectives are achieved.
The Project Manager will perform the following duties:

Minimum HNC in a relevant subject or equivalent.
Experience in Project Management, Commercial, or Quantity Surveying roles.
Experience interfacing with external customers and being commercially astute.
Good understanding of project finances, including billing, costs, and internal trading, with the ability to critique projects financially.
