The company seeks an experienced Marine Procurement & Logistics Manager to oversee the global supply chain for its Marine Division, managing stores, spares, technical, and repair supplies for approximately 165 vessels. Position: Marine Procurement & Logistics Manager
Reporting to: Head of Procurement & Logistics
Location: Head office, London
Role overview:
- Achieve optimal supplier performance, quality, and pricing; effective planning; risk reduction; cost savings; stakeholder relationship management; negotiation; team leadership.
- Ensure compliance with company policies on health, safety, environment, ethics, and anti-corruption.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and execute procurement strategies in collaboration with the Head of Procurement and other departments.
- Support fleet operations, including purchasing, dry dock, new building, and technical teams.
- Lead, coordinate, and coach the procurement team to meet operational and financial goals.
- Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders to facilitate performance and delivery.
- Set and monitor KPIs to optimize costs and improve procurement processes.
- Manage the annual procurement budget and forecasts.
- Communicate proactively about market conditions and their impact on procurement activities.
- Drive the development of contracts and service level agreements with vendors.
- Participate in implementing innovative procurement solutions such as eProcurement.
Qualifications and experience:
- 10+ years of experience in Marine Procurement at a regional or global level.
- Proven success in developing procurement strategies and negotiations.
- Strong understanding of maritime supply chains, regulations, and market conditions.
- Experience with procurement systems and change management is advantageous.
- Excellent leadership and stakeholder relationship skills.
