Job summary

Forth Ports is seeking a Marine Manager for the Port of Grangemouth to lead the Marine team, ensuring safe, efficient vessel movements and regulatory compliance. The role collaborates with FTNS and Port Operations, engaging with stakeholders and driving continuous improvement in marine safety and operational practices.

Travel to Leith and other Scottish ports is required; regular day-work with occasional weekend/evening duties in emergencies.

Qualifications

• Senior seagoing or port experience with suitable professional qualifications.
• Experience managing people and multi-team coordination.
• Experience of project management in a Port/Marine environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day Marine operations at Port of Grangemouth.
• Coordinate with FTNS and Port Operations to plan vessel movements.
• Attend meetings with port users and stakeholders as required.
• Manage Marine staff and assets for safe, efficient operations.
• Conduct emergency response as on-scene commander for incidents.
• Ensure compliance with Port Marine Safety Code and RAMs review.
• Maintain equipment and assist with risk assessments and procedures.
