Job Description

Kinetic is seeking to recruit an experienced Marine Lifting Engineer for a permanent role based in the Portsmouth area. The hours of work are Monday to Thursday from 07:30 to 16:15, with a 45-minute unpaid lunch, and Friday from 07:30 to 12:30. The salary ranges from £44,600 up to £46,205, depending on skills and experience, including excellent company benefits. This role offers career stability and the opportunity to be part of an established team within the marine industry.

Responsibilities:
  • Inspect, maintain, and repair lifts, cranes, davits, and other marine lifting equipment.
  • Diagnose faults and commission systems with technical precision.
  • Work within SHE procedures to ensure safety at all times.
  • Provide guidance to peers and communicate effectively with clients and authorities.
  • Contribute to detailed technical reporting and team efforts.
Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Hands-on experience in lift and lifting appliance maintenance, inspection, and fault-finding.
  • Strong mechanical system knowledge with an understanding of relevant regulations.
  • NVQ Level 3 or 4 qualification in a related field.
  • A commitment to keeping up with industry tech and inspection standards.
