Job Purpose:

As Marine Insurance Manager, you will lead the Freight Services Liability and Cargo All Risks (marine) insurance classes, playing a vital role in shaping and executing the Group's global marine insurance strategy. Working closely with regional insurance managers and cross-functional teams, you’ll assess marine risks across diverse logistics operations, ensure compliance with local and global regulations, and provide risk financing solutions aligned with strategic objectives.

Preferred Profile:

While there is a clear emphasis on marine aspects, applications are also welcomed from individuals who may not be entirely marine-focused but have gained considerable experience handling global programmes and related “fronting” elements. The specific experience points include:

  • University degree in business, law, or related field. Professional insurance qualifications (ACII, FCII, CPCU, etc.).
  • A minimum of 10 years in marine insurance, ideally within a global insurer, broker, or “in-house”.
  • Proven cross-border marine insurance programme management.
  • Strong grasp of marine insurance law and international trade regulations.
  • Experience with contract risk management and pricing within delegated authority.
  • Solid understanding of logistics, transport terms, warehousing, and the global supply chain.
  • Exceptional communication skills; able to explain technical content to non-experts.
  • Strong analytical, reporting, and project management abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Familiarity or interest in digital tools, data automation, and process optimization.
  • Strategic thinker, highly organized, collaborative, and globally minded with a strong sense of ownership and initiative.
