Qualifications

  • Deck officer experience from OSV vessels preferred.

Job description

We are assisting our client, a high-end offshore vessel management company, in the recruitment of a Marine HSEQ Superintendent at their Aberdeen office. The role is offered on a permanent (staff) basis.

Role

Reporting to the HSEQ Manager, the Marine HSEQ Superintendent will cooperate and interact with vessels, class, authorities, clients, and industry marine assurance entities.

Responsibilities
  1. Support the company’s HSEQ activities as directed by the HSEQ Manager.
  2. Support the company’s Marine activities as directed by the HSEQ Manager and Chief Operating Officer.
  3. Manage and follow up on forms and events.
  4. Responsible for obtaining and presenting analytical content to the company as directed by the HSEQ Manager and COO.
  5. Participate in the Emergency Organization as described in the SMS.
  6. Adhere to and provide feedback on the company’s policies, objectives, plans, and procedures.
  7. Adhere to internal and external requirements relevant to the company’s performance.
  8. Act as the company’s deputy for dynamic positioning authority.
  9. Serve as the company’s navigation standard authority.
Requirements
  1. 3-5 years of studies at college/university.
  2. Minimum 10 years of total working experience.
  3. Fluent in English, both orally and in writing.
  4. Relevant experience from shipping, oil and gas, or HSEQ department is preferable.
  5. Deck officer experience from OSV vessels is preferable.
  6. Master Mariner’s license is preferable.
  7. DP certificate (NI and/or DNV) is preferable.
  8. Experience as an officer onboard.
