Qualifications

  • Over 2 years of experience in Marine Coordination.

Job description

Duration: 9 Months (1 week on/1 week off)

Location: Grimsby, Lincolnshire

Work Schedule: 12 hours per day - 1 week on/1 week off

Flexibility: In vacation and sickness cover, rotations can be extended up to 14-21 days

Job Description:

Marine & Helicopter Coordination supports offshore operations within the Offshore Operations & Logistics department of Construction, ensuring safety, transit, access, and emergency response during OWF construction.

The role involves day/night shifts, weekends, and additional ad-hoc shifts during the contract period.

Key Tasks:
  • Emergency response coordination and liaison with project staff and external agencies.
  • Vessel/helicopter traffic control following protocols.
  • Tracking personnel, vessels, and communications.
  • Managing WTG access restrictions.
  • Optimizing vessel allocations and schedule changes.
  • Operating offshore management systems and ensuring certification and asset status are up to date.
  • Collaborating with local stakeholders.
  • Providing weather data interpretation and advice.
  • Managing relationships with weather data providers.
Requirements:
  • Local applicants within approximately 2 hours of Grimsby preferred.
  • Over 2 years of experience in Marine Coordination.
  • Proficiency with Offshore Operations Supplier Database and Radio Communications.
  • Familiarity with Maritime Certification.
  • Teamwork, proactive attitude, ability to work under pressure, good organizational engagement.
  • Experience in offshore Emergency Response.
  • Personnel tracking, marine traffic control, and airspace coordination skills.
  • Monitoring weather and marine operations.
  • Emergency response planning and statutory reporting (pollution, lighting, buoys, infringements).
