About us:
MJR Power & Automation are a well-established electrical & automation engineering business that works in the marine, renewable energy and offshore energy markets providing engineering, construction, and installation solutions to a global customer base from its headquarters in Teesside.
We are currently looking for an experienced Marine Electrical Field Service Engineers to join our expanding marine and offshore services team.
Role & Responsibilities:
will include, but not be limited to the following activities:
Fault finding, repair (to component level), servicing and testing of all types of main and auxiliary equipment, from engine room to bridge: ranging from high power generation, distribution, switchgear and propulsion to instrumentation, automation and navigation equipment
Procurement of spare parts and service work planning and scheduling
Planned maintenance, overhaul, upgrades, and retrofits.
Commissioning and setting to work of new and upgraded systems.
Modifications to existing installations
Close collaboration with our electrical and control systems design department to plan, design and deliver both new and retrofit solutions in marine propulsion and auxiliary plant, offshore production systems and offshore construction mission equipment.
Training and mentoring of other personnel.
About You:
The successful candidates are likely to have sailed on ships in an ETO capacity, will preferably be degree educated (or equivalent)
Have a wide range of experience including fault finding, servicing, repair, retrofit, and commissioning of all shipboard electrical, automation and navigation systems.
Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication and customer service skills.
Be self-motivated and dynamic with a focused attitude towards safety.
Must be IT literate, with planning and organisational skills.
Hold a full UK driving license and able to drive company vehicles

Schedule:
Standard 40 hour working week, Monday to Friday.
