Marine Environmental Officer – Offshore Wind

The Opportunity

We’re looking for a passionate and driven Offshore Environmental Officer to help shape the future of renewable energy. In this role, you'll be instrumental in ensuring environmental compliance across offshore assets in the UK and Ireland, and helping go beyond compliance to lead in sustainability.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  1. Lead the environmental management of offshore assets, ensuring compliance with all regulations and internal standards
  2. Plan and manage environmental surveys to meet marine licence and other consent obligations
  3. Oversee fisheries liaison and manage relationships with external stakeholders
  4. Track, audit and report on environmental performance across the asset portfolio
  5. Conduct data analysis and reporting to support compliance and sustainability goals
  6. Deliver site-level and portfolio-level environmental initiatives
  7. Support the implementation of ISO 14001 & ISO 50001 standards
  8. Collaborate with delivery teams throughout the development, construction and operational phases
  9. Engage with regulators, planners, consultants and landowners to ensure environmental best practices
  10. Represent the business at forums, events and stakeholder engagements

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

  1. A degree in environmental management, town planning or a related field
  2. Membership (or working towards) of a relevant professional body (IEMA, RTPI, etc.)
  3. Knowledge of environmental regulations affecting operational renewable energy assets
  4. Experience with offshore wind, marine consents or large infrastructure projects is desirable
  5. Strong skills in stakeholder engagement and contractor management
  6. Familiarity with ISO14001 implementation and greenhouse gas reporting is a plus
  7. Self-motivation, problem-solving skills, and a collaborative mindset
  8. Comfortable working in outdoor and offshore environments when needed
  9. Willingness to travel extensively across the UK and Ireland
