Job summary

DNV is seeking a Marine Consultant to deliver high-quality environmental assessments and manage small to mid-sized projects within a growing marine science team. The role involves applying regulatory knowledge, conducting data analyses, and producing robust reports for clients in offshore wind, aquaculture and maritime sectors.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in marine science, experience in consultancy or related sectors, and strong communication and project-management skills.

Qualifications

• Degree in Marine Biology, Marine Environmental Science, Oceanography, Environmental Management or a related discipline.
• Experience in marine environmental consultancy or related sectors.
• Knowledge of UK marine licensing and environmental legislation.
• Strong report writing, project management and communication skills.
• Commercially aware, organised and capable of managing competing priorities.
• Passionate about delivering practical, high-quality environmental solutions.

Responsibilities

• Technical Delivery: Prepare and contribute to marine environmental assessments and chapters (EIA/HRA/WFD/MCZ).
• Analyse and interpret environmental data including benthic communities and seabed imagery.
• Produce clear, technically robust reports in line with legislation and standards.
• Undertake quality assurance reviews of technical outputs prior to submission.
