Brockenhurst College seeks a Lecturer in Marine Engineering on a part-time or full-time basis. Salary in the region of £33,367–£44,365 per annum pro rata, with possible market supplement or retention incentive.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Marine Engineering cert required or equivalent
• MNTB Workshops Skills Course or equivalent
• GCSE English (Grade 5+)
• GCSE Maths (Grade 5+)
• MCA OOW Cert of Competency REG111/1 Unlimited
• Merchant Navy Officer with 12 months sea time or Royal Navy equivalent

Responsibilities

• Deliver theory and practical (workshop) classes.
• Act as personal tutor; conduct tutorials and progress reviews.
• Promote high attendance and address unauthorised absence.
• Plan and deliver teaching, learning and assessment.
• Mark work with constructive feedback on spelling, grammar and punctuation.
• Support inclusive learning and use ICT resources.
