Mechanical Fitter (Marine Engine Training)

Workshop based. Commutable from Plymouth, Liskeard, Looe, Callington and surrounding areas.

Are you an Engineer / Technician / Fitter with Marine, Plant, Automotive, REME or similar experience, looking to join a leading business that will offer full training into the industry as you become an expert in your field? The specialist company are leaders within servicing and repair of boats. With sites across the UK, you will be joining one of their flagship sites. Due to continued success and workload, they are looking to increase the headcount of their engineering department.

Within this varied position, you will be tasked with the install, service, and repair of marine engine and propulsion systems, with some fault finding and commissioning work to make up the rest of the day. Candidates with diesel engine experience are encouraged to apply, thanks to the excellent training on offer.

The Role:
  • Service and repair of marine engines
  • Install, test, and commission hydraulic and mechanical systems
  • Workshop based with some site work
  • 39-hour week, 7:30 am - 4:15 pm Monday to Friday (early finish on Friday)
The Person:
  • Hands-on mechanical or electrical engineering experience
  • Looking to progress or move into the marine industry
