Position Overview

Our client is looking for a Marine-biased Engineer for a 3-month contract. The Engineer will be responsible for the preparation, build, and installation of engineering systems according to current drawings, specifications, and guidelines.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
  1. Mechanical fitting of all general Marine systems, including hydraulics, plumbing (domestic, marine, grey, black, fresh water), air conditioning, gas installations, engine/gearbox, and final drive installations.
  2. Experience with HVAC and piping systems.
  3. Engine alignment.
  4. Fitting all mechanical components.
  5. Reading and interpreting technical drawings.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Experience working within the marine industry.
  • Proven experience in fault finding and problem-solving.
  • Experience with freshwater cooling systems.
  • Experience with air conditioning and onboard kitchen/galley appliances, including plumbing fixing and maintenance.
