Job description

Marine Engineer required for my client based near to Maidenhead, Berkshire.

The marine engineering company is looking for a marine engineer with river mechanic experience, to perform mechanical and electrical repairs and maintenance to boats, engines, and associated equipment, on and off site.

Reporting to the Marine Engineer - Supervisor.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform mechanical and electrical repairs to boats, engines, and associated equipment.
  • Order replacement parts, consult and review schematics.
  • Determine causes of operating problems.
  • Service and repair marine engines and associated mechanical equipment in customers' boats.
  • Service and repair industrial engines.
  • Service and repair on-board auxiliary systems.
  • Pressure wash and clean hulls and topsides of customers' boats.
  • Assist with the craning of boats into and out of the water.
  • Maintain familiarity with current product lines and features.
Requirements:
  • Previous mechanical engineering experience essential.
  • Previous marine experience is an advantage.
  • Based within a commutable distance of Maidenhead, Berkshire.
  • Full UK driving licence essential.
  • Volvo Penta approval is very beneficial.

Salary: £32,000 to £36,000 - dependent upon experience, skills, and qualifications.

Working hours: Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm.
