Job description

Title: Marine Engineer

Location: Wroxham - Norfolk

Salary or Rate: GBP 24 per hour

Hours: 40 hours plus overtime available

Type: Contract

Our client is seeking a Marine-biased Engineer for a 3-month contract. The Engineer will be responsible for the preparation, build, and installation of engineering systems according to current drawings, specifications, and guidelines.

Day-to-day duties and responsibilities:
  1. Mechanical fitting of all general Marine systems, including hydraulics, plumbing (domestic, marine, grey, black, freshwater), air conditioning, gas installations, engine/gearbox, and final drive installations.
  2. Experience with HVAC and piping systems.
  3. Engine alignment.
  4. Fitting all mechanical components.
  5. Reading and interpreting technical drawings.
Qualifications and requirements:
  1. Experience working within the marine industry.
  2. Proven fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
  3. Experience with freshwater cooling systems.
  4. Experience with air conditioning and onboard kitchen/galley appliances, including plumbing fixing and maintenance.
