WHAT YOU WILL DO AT STARK
  • Design and integrate ship electrical systems including engine management, power distribution, batteries, embedded systems, and sensors.
  • Conduct make-vs-buy tradeoff studies, negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Develop both low- and high-voltage architectures for rapid prototyping.
  • Produce wiring diagrams, schematics, and harnesses using CAD tools.
  • Select and validate components for reliability under extreme operational conditions.
  • Support and participate in regular field testing and demonstrations with defence partners.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE MISSION
  • Proven experience in developing electrical systems for Marine platforms.
  • Experience working with AC and DC power distribution systems.
  • Experience with electrical control, sensing, and actuation systems.
  • Knowledge of relevant Maritime standards: MCT/IMO/DNV.
  • Experience with Wire Harness, microcontrollers, and hardware-in-the-loop testing.
  • Excellent problem-solving ability in high-pressure, resource-constrained environments.
  • Strong communication skills and capacity to work collaboratively in multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Must be eligible for UK Security Clearance and able to travel to South West England when required.
NICE TO HAVE
  • Understanding of software and firmware practices and programming languages.
SECURITY CLEARANCE

Due to the nature of our work in the defence sector, candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance required for this position. Details will be provided during the recruitment process.
