Position: Marine Electrical Engineer
Job ID: 131/34
Location: Ipswich / Felixstow / Great Yarmouth / Suffolk / Norfolk
Salary: £34,000 - £39,000 Plus overtime and benefits

We are looking for a Marine Electrical / Electronic Engineer / Field Service Engineer for a company that has over 50 years experience within the marine industry.

Responsibilities:

  1. Undertake service, maintenance and installation of marine automation, navigation and communication equipment.
  2. Supervise field service teams / sub-contractors / shipyard labour, maintaining morale and ensuring familiarity with company QA policies and Health and Safety regulations.
  3. Conduct site surveys and detailed work specifications.
  4. Ensure an accurate list of tools and materials is created in line with the workload.
  5. Maintain accuracy and professional standards of field service deliverables (problem solving and quality of work).
  6. Act as a mentor and trainer to aid the development of colleagues as required.
  7. Ensure all work is carried out to ISO 9001/2000 standards.

Qualifications:
  1. Background in marine electronics, especially bridge navigation, communication & PA systems.
  2. Preferably HND/HNC Engineering or equivalent experience.
  3. UK Passport Holder.
  4. Full UK Driving Licence.
  5. Must be able to travel in and around the Suffolk / Norfolk area.
