Join us as a Marine Development Adjuster and take ownership of diverse marine claims in a flexible, customer-focused role within the London Market.
As a Marine Development Adjuster, you’ll play a vital role in supporting the Marine Team’s administrative functions while taking ownership of processing marine insurance claims and managing fee collections via ECF. This position offers flexibility, with occasional travel across the UK, and is ideal for someone who thrives in a detail-oriented, customer-focused environment.
You’ll be at the heart of a dynamic and complex sector, where no two days are the same. Your ability to communicate clearly, apply technical expertise, and make sound decisions based on individual claim merits will be key to your success. With a strong emphasis on empathy and customer satisfaction, you’ll be expected to see the bigger picture and act with integrity and professionalism in every interaction.
This role offers a fantastic opportunity for career growth, especially for those with prior claims experience and a working knowledge of the London Markets and ECF. The skills you will have when you apply:
Administrative experience : Proven background as an experienced administrator, ideally within insurance or claims.
Claims handling : Previous experience managing insurance claims, with the ability to assess and process them effectively.
Marine knowledge : Familiarity with Marine insurance is preferred, though not essential.
London Market expertise : Strong understanding of the London insurance market and Electronic Claims File (ECF) processes is essential.
Attention to detail : Ability to identify critical information and filter out irrelevant details.
Communication skills : Excellent verbal and written communication, including active listening and clear articulation.
Problem-solving : Capable of working independently, using initiative to resolve issues and make informed decisions.
Customer focus : Ability to empathise with customers, understand their perspective, and maintain satisfaction throughout the claims process.
Prioritisation : Skilled in managing and prioritising workload effectively on a daily basis.
IT proficiency : Strong keyboard and general IT skills, with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
Multilingual ability : Bi-lingual or multi-lingual skills are a plus in a global business environment.
