Marine and Helicopter Coordinator

Role Overview

The Marine & Helicopter Coordinator is a key support role within the Offshore Operations & Logistics department of Construction. The role ensures safe offshore operations, transit, access to the Offshore Wind Farm (OWF), asset management within the OWF, and emergency response during OWF construction. The position involves day and night shifts, including weekends, with potential for additional ad-hoc shifts during and outside the main contract period.

Key Responsibilities

1. Coordinate emergency response efforts, acting as the frontline contact and liaising with project staff and external agencies.
2. Control vessel and helicopter traffic according to established protocols and procedures.
3. Track personnel, vessels, and communications.
4. Manage WTG access restrictions.
5. Optimize vessel allocations and adapt plans to unforeseen changes.
6. Operate offshore management systems, ensuring personnel certification and asset status are up-to-date.
7. Communicate with local stakeholders as required.
8. Provide weather forecasts, observations, and interpret data to advise project teams and vessel masters.
9. Manage relationships with weather data providers, resolving data issues as needed.

Requirements

• Local applicants within approximately 2 hours of Grimsby preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in Marine Coordination.
• Proficiency with Offshore Operations Supplier Database and radio communications.
• Computer literacy.
• Knowledge of maritime certification requirements.
• Teamwork, proactive attitude, ability to work under pressure, and good organizational engagement.
• Experience in offshore emergency response.
• Personnel and marine traffic tracking expertise.
• Airspace coordination skills for safe flight operations.
• Monitoring weather and marine conditions.
