A leading health service provider is seeking a Safeguarding Children Health Advisor to join their integrated team in Woking. The successful candidate will play a critical role in assessing referrals, sharing health information, and supporting child welfare decisions in a collaborative setting focused on continuous professional development. This permanent full-time position offers competitive pay, benefits, and opportunities for professional growth in a dynamic environment committed to safeguarding children.</p>
At the heart of safeguarding children in Surrey, the Multi-Agency Partnership (MAP) brings together dedicated professionals from health, social care, education, and the police to ensure timely, effective, and coordinated support for children aged 0–18.
As a Safeguarding Children Health Advisor, you will play a crucial role within this dynamic, integrated team. Working collaboratively with our multi-agency colleagues, you will assess referrals and notifications, carefully triage and analyse information, and contribute your clinical expertise to help identify the most appropriate level of support for each child.
Your responsibilities will include sourcing, interpreting, and sharing relevant health information—always with the highest regard for confidentiality—to support safeguarding decisions. This process takes place within a secure, fire-walled environment that enables safe and efficient information sharing. While the Local Authority maintains statutory oversight, the MAP operates as a collective decision-making body, ensuring that every professional voice is valued in planning the right outcomes for children.
You will be based within Victoria Gate in Woking. Whilst we support agile and flexible working through the HCRG Care Group’s flexible-first approach, there is an expectation that you will be working in the office on Monday & Wednesdays.
This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while working in a supportive and progressive setting that encourages learning, development, and shared responsibility for child welfare.
If you are a caring, experienced health professional with a passion for safeguarding and partnership working, we invite you to join our committed team.
