Job summary

GE Vernova in Stafford seeks a candidate to develop and support manufacturing test solutions across electrical and mechanical domains. You will design fixtures, assist with 3D-printed parts and PCB test, and provide hands-on debugging in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team.

The role requires strong communication, attention to detail and knowledge of 3D printing design in SolidWorks, with a focus on safe, compliant test solutions and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• HNC/D Electronics or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of the electrical transmission & distribution industry would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture electrical and mechanical test solutions per development instructions.
• Design components and fixtures using 3D printing and Solid Works.
• Provide technical support to manufacturing with hands-on debugging.
• Collaborate with outsourcing partners and Test Solution Providers.
• Apply GE-standard and industry-standard tech through risk-managed plans.
• Assist in local and outsourced projects as required.
• Help define and improve test processes and guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with PuWER, environmental and safety legislation.
• Coordinate with R&D, Industrialisation and QA teams.
