Responsibilities

• Machine Setup & Operation: Set up, adjust, and operate cutting, forming, grinding, or CNC/manual machine tools.
• Tooling & Alignment: Select, install, and align drills, cutters, dies, and holding devices using hand tools and measuring instruments.
• Quality Inspection: Read technical blueprints/job orders and inspect workpieces using calipers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure strict dimensional accuracy.
• Minor Maintenance: Perform routine machine care (oiling, cleaning, coolant top-ups, changing worn tools) and make minor mechanical/electrical adjustments.

Job Title: Manufacturing Technician II (Machine Operator / Setter)

Location: Basingstoke (Houndmills Industrial Estate)

Pay Rate: £13.46/hr + 20% Shift Allowance (Total Rate: £16.15/hr | £33,500/yr equivalent)

Shift Pattern: Mon - Fri | Rotating Shifts: 06:00 - 14:00 & 14:00 - 22:00 (40 hrs/week)

Contract Duration: 6-Month Contract (Overtime Available)

About the Role
