Job description

We are looking for a skilled Manufacturing Technician to join our client's Operations team. In this pivotal role, you will engage in the assembly and testing of advanced instruments, including lasers, electro-optic systems, and high-resolution video cameras. The ideal candidate will have excellent assembly skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to meet strict deadlines. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities are essential for building positive relationships with colleagues.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Assemble and test instruments according to detailed work instructions and testing procedures.
  2. Participate in all phases of the operations and manufacturing processes, including the application of lean manufacturing techniques and continuous improvement initiatives.
  3. Collaborate on bills of material, part procurement, and stock management to ensure efficient planning and execution of operational tasks.
  4. Document protocols, track in-process results, and monitor key performance metrics.
Skills & Experience Required
  1. Approximately 2 years of relevant industrial operations experience.
  2. Laboratory experience handling personal protective equipment, lasers, and optics.
  3. Proficiency in assembling electronic subsystems, including fault diagnosis.
  4. Experience with high-precision part assembly, optics handling, and laser operation.
  5. Some experience in testing high-technology equipment prior to shipping.
