Job Description:

Thales is a technology company operating in aerospace, defence, ground transportation, security, and space. We are looking for a Manufacturing Technician to join our team in Glasgow to support manufacturing and testing of military products.

Responsibilities:
  • Optical alignment and construction of optical subassemblies
  • Complex optical bonding using optical adhesives
  • Optical handling and cleaning
  • Analysis of optical components using interferometers
  • Calibration of optical subassemblies and tooling
  • Work in multi-disciplinary teams
About you:
  • Good understanding of general physics
  • Practical and experimental skills
  • Inquisitiveness and ability to question results
  • Self-motivated, capable of working independently and in teams

Desirable skills:
  • Knowledge of optical instruments, interferometry, mechanical engineering
