Salary: £47,418 inclusive of 25% shift allowance (Basic £37,935)

What you'll be doing:

  • Ensuring processes are maintained and operated in a safe manner and escalate issues affecting safety within the given production area
  • Ensuring that work undertaken adheres to relevant quality standards and provides support in the implementation of quality improvement projects
  • Operating of manufacturing processes and facilities to meet production programme requirements
  • Supporting implementation of continuous improvement activities
  • Identifying, raising and implementing solutions to safety, quality and production problems

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • A time served mechanical engineering apprenticeship in a manufacturing environment (minimum NVQ Level 3)
  • Experience of working within a production environment whilst conducting preventative maintenance activities
  • Experience in the setting and operating of manufacturing plant and equipment
  • Experienced in fault finding with root cause, corrective and preventative activities

Desirable

  • Basic understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC)
  • Experience with Pneumatic and automated systems

The Manufacturing team:

The Manufacturing Team has developed into a stable and well-functioning unit operating on a 3 shift rotating system of 37 hours per week. The three shifts consists of Monday to Thursday 8hrs per shift and Friday 5 hours per shift at a 25% shift enhancement. There are opportunities for overtime which has a 25% enhancement in the week and a 60% enhancement on the weekend above base rate.
