Job summary

A global veterinary pharmaceuticals specialist is seeking a dedicated manufacturing operative for its Skipton facility. Qualifications

  • Experience in manual/semi-automated manufacturing processes.
  • Local to our Skipton site.
  • Experience in low to medium volume manufacturing/packaging, manual/semi-automated manufacturing processes.
  • Proven industry experience from a highly regulated GMP manufacturing/packing facility, either from the Pharmaceutical or similarly regulated industry/environment.
  • A working knowledge and practical experience of pharmaceutical manufacture, continuous improvement activities and the ability to manage time and workload effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Manufacture products to high standards, ensuring compliance.
  • Train other team members in operational procedures.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards.
  • Safely operate and maintain plant and equipment.
  • Follow documented manufacturing methods and escalate issues to supervisors or manager.
  • Keep equipment clean and in good working order and report deficiencies.
  • Maintain high housekeeping, hygiene and safety standards.
  • Notify managers promptly of any serious safety or GMP concerns.

5.30 am - 2.00 pm, Monday - Friday, with every other Friday off. Based at our Skipton, North Yorkshire manufacturing site.

So, what will you be doing? This role has a broad and varied remit, and the successful candidate will have responsibility for duties including:

  • Manufacture products to a high standard, ensuring they meet the set GMP standards and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Attend and comply with any planned in-house training or on-the-job training.
  • Capable and willing to train others in the team.
  • To ensure the efficient and safe use of plant and equipment.
  • To keep strictly to manufacturing methods as laid down in the documentation and raise any issues or errors with the Manufacturing Supervisors or Manager.
  • To ensure all equipment is clean and maintained in good working order, and where deficiencies are found, escalating to a supervisor.
  • Maintain the highest standards of housekeeping, cleanliness and personal hygiene within the department.
  • To notify the Manufacturing Manager, Supervisor or Senior Manufacturing Technicians, as a matter of urgency, if there has been any serious failure of safety or GMP which could affect staff safety, product quality or operational efficiency.
  • To identify any issues, attempt to resolve them and escalate if they cannot be resolved.
  • To support Operational Excellence incentives to drive and improve efficiency.

What makes you awesome A self-motivated, enthusiastic individual who can work well within a team environment performing manufacturing activities, including the operation and cleaning of equipment, whilst being able to complete associated documentation accurately and promptly, in line with strict procedures. Essential
