As a Manufacturing Technician at Honeywell, in Edinburgh, you will be trained toassemble and test Microwave and RF Components, using soldering techniques to ensure the highest quality product is provided to our customers. Products are for the defence and space industry and are at thecutting edge of technology. This is a site-based role, 37.5 hours per week.

Key responsibilities:

You will have a buddy assigned to you and work closely with experienced professionals to gain hands-on experience within a friendly and supportive team to be trained to achieve the following:

  • Following detailed assembly instructions
  • Hand assembly of Microwave Components, using soldering techniques
  • Mechanical Assembly following a prescribed build process
  • Following detailed test instructions to test both RF and microwave components using network analysers
  • Fault finding and identifying manufacturing improvements
  • Carrying out visual quality checks and packing before labelling finished parts

Key skills and qualifications:

  • Understanding of microwave signals and electrical circuitry either from the workplace or from an apprenticeship / your education
  • Excellent dexterity and hand to eye co-ordination
  • Good verbal communication skills in English
