Job description

The Role

  1. Building electromechanical sub-assemblies, printed circuit boards, and final products, as well as reading and interpreting bills of materials and drawings.
  2. Cleaning and packing of products using COSHH substances with appropriate PPE provided.
  3. Raising non-compliance, rework records, stores requisitions, and any build documentation changes when required.
  4. Ensuring familiarity with relevant elements of quality management, including static handling precautions and workmanship standards.
  5. Maintaining high accuracy of stock control and stock levels, replenishing, and placing Kanban orders as required.
  6. Maintaining and improving housekeeping and working practices.
  7. Adhering to the Company’s ISO9001 Quality, ISO14001 Environmental Management systems, and Health and Safety Management System.
  8. Working as part of a team to achieve departmental objectives and promote continuous improvement of product quality and processes, including flow production to reduce waste (lean initiatives).

The Candidate

  1. Previous electromechanical assembly experience and soldering skills are desirable.
  2. Understanding of mechanical assembly procedures and processes.
  3. Appreciation of modern manufacturing techniques.
  4. Good communication skills and a hands-on approach.
  5. IPC standard certifications are ideal.
