Manufacturing Technician

Crewe

3 shifts (37 hours per week)

£42,000 - £47,000

An excellent opportunity has arisen with a leading manufacturing company. The business is looking to bring an experienced Manufacturing Technician to the Engineering team at a fast-paced manufacturing facility. This is a challenging role involving diverse work. You will be tasked with the setting/operation of CNC & Power Press Machines as well as the maintenance & repair of the same machinery.

Role Description
  1. Setting & Operating Power Press/CNC Machines while performing reactive and preventative maintenance on all machinery and systems
  2. Working to company safety guidelines
  3. Ensuring the quality of production using SPC and following written SOP (Standard Operating Procedures) and RA (Risk Assessments)
  4. Achieving set volume production targets
  5. Maintaining machines in line with preventative maintenance schedules
  6. Reacting to resolve immediate mechanical breakdowns
  7. Recording machine performance using the company's Smart Factory data collection system for measuring performance and OEE
  8. Taking part in company safety, quality, and performance programs

Skills and Qualifications
  1. 4-year Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship with a Level 3 Minimum in Engineering - Must have
  2. Power Press or CNC background desired
  3. Hand Mechanical Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
