Job summary

Set2Recruit is seeking a Manufacturing/Technical Manager to oversee the day-to-day running of the Technical, Purchasing and Manufacturing departments, ensuring products are made safely, legally, on time, to the required quality standard and at the right cost. The role combines technical governance, supply chain control and continuous improvement, translating business priorities into operational plans.

As part of the management team, the postholder leads by example and keeps senior leadership

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day running of Technical, Purchasing and Manufacturing departments to ensure safety, legality, on-time delivery and required quality and cost.
• Lead by example, chair departmental meetings, develop capable teams and manage performance and succession planning.
• Manage technical governance, change control, documentation, audits and supplier/product investigations to root cause and preventive actions.
• Shape product development, PDCRs, and ensure drawings, manuals and data stay current and controlled.
• Monitor manufacturing performance including safety, quality, productivity, and cost, driving continuous improvements.
