Fixed term contract for approximately X months

Working Pattern:

Week rotational pattern including weekends, covering night shifts. You will work X-hour shifts: HH:MM - HH:MM, covering approximately X shifts per month.

Role Objectives:

The Manufacturing Team Manager will lead people, plant, product, and process delivery, impacting site metrics, team performance, and operational efficiency. The role is based at our Harlesden factory, producing moulded products such as Digestives, Hobnobs, and Chocolate Digestives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and challenge team members, ensuring role competence and adherence to standards.
  • Motivate, coach, and develop team members.
  • Monitor performance, provide feedback, and develop initiatives for skill enhancement.
  • Ensure production targets are met and deploy labor plans effectively.
  • Manage Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), waste, downtime, and efficiency metrics.
  • Utilize systems like Autostore, Workday, SAP, SFOL, Absence Manager for management information.
  • Facilitate effective communication across shifts and teams.
  • Promote high customer service standards and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Reduce costs, improve standards, and ensure quality management systems are followed.

  • Leadership skills exemplified by integrity and high standards.
  • Effective communication and team leadership experience in manufacturing.
  • Experience in a Lean environment.
  • Proven ability to delegate, empower, influence, and motivate.

  • Experience in bakery and snack processing.
  • Commitment to self-development and adaptability.
  • Coaching and feedback skills for team development.

Interview Process:

Stage 1: 30-minute competency-based interview on company values and experience.

Stage 2: 30-minute technical or case study interview.
