What You'll Do

The Manufacturing Team Manager will oversee and lead all activities related to manufacturing and production to meet customer expectations within a defined area. Responsibilities include managing both hourly and salaried staff, assigning work responsibilities, and fostering development and alignment of resources. The role also emphasizes continuous improvement in production, quality, and safety using the Eaton Business System (EBS) and Continuous Improvement Framework (CIF).

Job Responsibilities
  • Drive continuous improvement through EBS, BOS, CIF, and HPWTs.
  • Implement Lean activities to eliminate waste in key processes.
  • Achieve BOS metrics such as TRCR, Productive Utilization, On-Time Delivery, First Pass Yield, and DPPM.
  • Manage plant assets effectively through leadership of maintenance and facilities teams.
  • Implement MESH to improve safety performance annually.
  • Develop and coach team members, providing oversight and recognition.
  • Set vision and strategy; lead by example as a positive role model.
  • Engage and empower employees, facilitating decision-making at all levels.
  • Ensure high performance on High-5 metrics for the assigned value stream.
  • Foster employee engagement and provide necessary resources, removing barriers to success.
Qualifications

Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Manufacturing/Operations.

Skills
  • 1-3 years of leadership experience.
  • Proficiency in Excel, MS Outlook, PowerPoint.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, leadership, coaching, and influence skills.
  • Expertise in Lean manufacturing and Operational Excellence tools like 6S, Value Stream Mapping, Standard Work, Visual Management.
  • Problem-solving skills (e.g., 8-D, A3).
  • Motivated, visionary, adaptable to change.
