Job summary

Copello Global Ltd is partnering with a leading global manufacturer to recruit a Manufacturing Team Manager. You will lead a fast-paced production area, drive safety, quality and on-time delivery, and develop a high-performing team in a continuous improvement culture.

You will own daily operations, coach both hourly and salaried staff, and collaborate with maintenance to maximise plant performance while delivering business objectives.

Qualifications

  • A degree qualification or equivalent industry experience.
  • Experience leading manufacturing or operations teams.
  • Experience coaching and developing production teams.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and CI methods (6S, VSM, Standard Work, Visual Management).
  • Proven problem-solving using structured improvement techniques such as A3 or 8D.
  • Strong communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to prioritise competing demands while maintaining high standards of quality and delivery.
  • Proactive approach with a genuine passion for developing people and driving positive change.

Responsibilities

Job description

Copello are partnering with a leading global manufacturing business to recruit a Manufacturing Team Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced production or operations professional looking to lead a high-performing manufacturing team within a fast-paced engineering environment.

The successful candidate will take ownership of a defined production area, ensuring products are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards. You'll play a key role in driving operational performance, developing teams, and embedding a culture of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead day-to-day manufacturing operations across your designated production area.

About You

We're keen to speak with candidates who have:

  • A degree qualification or equivalent industry experience.
  • Previous experience within a manufacturing or operations leadership role.
  • Experience managing, coaching and developing production teams.
  • A strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies, including tools such as 6S, Value Stream Mapping, Standard Work and Visual Management.
  • Proven problem-solving experience using structured improvement techniques such as A3 or 8D.
  • Strong communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills.
  • The ability to prioritise competing demands while maintaining high standards of quality and delivery.
