An exciting opportunity to join a leading business with a long-established history in the manufacturing industry. Due to growth, they are now looking for an experienced Manufacturing Team Leader to join them on a permanent basis. Paying an attractive salary of £32,057.00 based on a 3-shift rotation pattern Monday to Friday.
The Manufacturing Team Leader will be responsible for leading and coordinating a team of process operators to ensure the efficient running of production lines. They will focus on quality, efficiency, safety, and continuous improvement while meeting production targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and motivate a team of process operators to achieve production goals.
- Ensure all staff are adequately trained and comply with health and safety regulations.
- Monitor team performance and provide coaching or development opportunities.
- Ensure shift handovers are clear and effective.
- Oversee daily operations to ensure production targets and quality standards are met.
- Monitor and adjust process parameters to optimise efficiency and minimise waste.
- Identify and troubleshoot process or equipment issues, escalating where necessary.
- Support the introduction of new processes, products, and equipment.
- Ensure all products meet company and customer quality standards.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits, ensuring compliance with ISO and regulatory requirements.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions to address quality concerns.
- Maintain accurate production records and reports.
- Support and drive lean manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
- Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and cost reduction.
- Encourage team involvement in problem-solving activities.
- Ensure adherence to HSE regulations, COSHH, and risk assessments.
- Promote a safety-first culture within the team.
- Conduct safety briefings and ensure PPE compliance.
Skills & Experience Required
- Experience in a manufacturing or production environment (preferably in a leadership role).
- Strong knowledge of process improvement, automation, and production efficiency.
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues and optimise machine performance.
- Familiarity with quality control processes and ISO standards.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building skills.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
