As an Electrical Engineer at Trostre, you will play a key role in delivering high standards of maintenance, inspection, and fault resolution to support safe and reliable production.

You’ll be working with systems such as PLCs, digital drives and AC/DC motors, interpret technical drawings and ensure maintenance is completed to high engineering standards. The role requires HNC/degree level qualifications and experience in heavy industry.

Formación

• Qualified to HNC/degree level in electrical engineering.
• Experience in plant or heavy industrial environments.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure.
• Experience of managing a team and good IT/communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and deliver preventative and corrective maintenance on electrical systems.
• Diagnose and repair faults in plant equipment and automation systems.
• Provide electrical expertise to improve plant performance and reliability.
• Work in compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental standards.
• Support the training and development of the electrical team and others.
• Develop and deliver improvement activities and technical investigations.

What you will need

You’ll ideally be qualified to HNC/degree level and have:

• Relevant plant or heavy industrial experience
• An excellent understanding of modern electrical systems and safety protocols
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• The ability to work independently and under pressure
• Experience of managing a team
• Good IT and communication skills

Schedule: Full time Location: Trostre, Carmarthenshire, United Kingdom Salary: 45,946 +Additional hours (AAH) with increase to 47,325 upon successful competence Closing Date: Monday 2nd November 2026
